FAQs

Frequently asked questions.

Straight answers for solicitors considering LAIS.

What does it cost after the free period?

Pricing has not yet been finalised. It will be confirmed before any free period ends. What is already fixed is the model: LAIS is subscription-based — no referral fees, no per-lead charges, no share of your fees.

Does LAIS take a cut of my fees?

No. We never charge referral fees, never charge per lead, and never take a share of your fees. What you agree with your client is between you and your client — LAIS never handles client money.

Is this a referral arrangement?

No. LAIS is subscription-based, and we are not paid per case or per introduction. We make the introduction. You practise.

How do clients reach the platform?

People with a legal problem describe it in their own words on our consumer platform, and it reaches you as a clear, structured initial case report.

Can I decline opportunities?

Yes. You choose which opportunities to pursue. Nothing is pushed on anyone.

How are lawyers verified?

Verification is required for all lawyers.

Where is my data stored?

In the United Kingdom — our database is hosted in London. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access controls are enforced at the database level.

Who owns the client relationship?

You do. A client chooses you; when you take on the matter, it proceeds under your own engagement terms. What you agree with your client is between you and your client — LAIS never handles client money.

How does LAIS interact with my firm's own onboarding obligations?

LAIS begins the process; it does not replace it. When you take on a matter, your own client onboarding applies in full — identity verification, conflict checking, engagement terms, and everything your regulator requires. We make the introduction. You practise.

Focus on your clients. LAIS will manage the client acquisition.
